Internship SEL Lesson Plan
As part of my internship at Drummond Montessori Magnet School, I taught monthly extension lessons for the Second Step curriculum. Here is a lesson plan, using the ASCA model template, of my Early Childhood lesson, focusing on attention Skills. This lesson plan was written after collecting numerous tier 2 referrals and data from teachers.
School Counselor Curriculum Overview

School Wide Curriculum Planning
My part of creating a school wide curriculum planning document. This was put together to help all teachers see the progression a student takes as they grow in the school. This was also used by a summer curriculum planning team that I participated in. This group met for a total of 26 hours to help investigate and put into action better curriculum practices.
Comprehensive School Counseling Handbook
During Fall 2024 in Foundations of Professional School Counseling at Loyola University, I created a comprehensive school counseling handbook using ASCA templates. The handbook includes important school counseling program components such as an annual administrative conference, a Tier 1 lesson plan, an advisory council presentation, and more.
Text Set: Emotion Identification & Regulation
During my Summer 2025 Advanced Literacy Instruction course at Loyola University, I developed a scaffolded text set designed to support elementary students’ emotion identification and regulation. The slideshow introduces the importance of emotion education and highlights research supporting its impact on student growth in academic and social contexts. The text set includes eight books organized into four developmental categories: naming and identifying emotions, recognizing emotions in the body, building empathy, and developing regulation and coping strategies.
